Hypnotherapy for Insomnia and Sleep Problems
The importance of sleep
There is nothing more distressing than not getting enough sleep. Sleeping is often taken for granted until such time as we first experience a lack of sleep. Indeed In some cultures 'lack of sleep' is used as ‘torture’.
We may have trouble ‘dropping off’. We may drop off easily but wake after a couple of hours and find ourselves ‘awake all night’ until just before we need to get up.
Learning to unwind
We may just be completely useless at unwinding, can’t stop thinking and after many hours of tossing and turning, getting up, getting back into bed, watching television, reading etc, etc eventually fall into a deep slumber only to awaken feeling absolutely awful and have to go through our daily lives in zombie mode.
Waking regularly at 4 or 5 each morning is one of the symptoms of depression. (You may also wake at 4 or 5 in the morning and not be depressed.)
Hypnosis can help you with Insomnia and Sleep Problems
You cannot force yourself to go to sleep. Hypnosis is a wonderful tool that can help the therapist and the client discover and eradicate the underlying cause(s).
By teaching deep relaxation and helping you to take charge in such a way as to create a different pattern for your sleeping experience.
